Liverpool have identified candidates to replace Jurgen Klopp. Of course, if Alonso doesn't come

Since Liverpool's head coach, Jurgen Klopp, announced his departure from the team at the end of the season, the club has been actively searching for his successor. Their primary target, reportedly, is the current Bayer Leverkusen coach, Xavi Alonso, whose team has been demonstrating remarkable results this season.

However, Liverpool is not the only contender for the Spaniard. Bayern Munich and Barcelona have also shown interest in him. Surely, more top European clubs may join this list closer to the end of the season.

That's why Liverpool is considering alternatives to Klopp if Alonso chooses not to move to Anfield. According to reports from The Telegraph, the Reds have two other candidates on their list: Ruben Amorim and Julian Nagelsmann.

Amorim became an intriguing option for the team after he revived Sporting's title ambitions. However, he has a contract running until 2026, and signing him could entail a substantial compensation fee for Liverpool.

On the other hand, Nagelsmann's contract with the German Football Association expires after Euro 2024. Despite his unfortunate departure from Bayern Munich, he continues to be highly regarded at Liverpool. Moreover, he embodies the spirit of the club.
