Despite the uncertainty surrounding the name of Liverpool's head coach next season, they are still planning a summer transfer campaign at Anfield and one of the Scousers' possible summer signings is known.

According to O Jogo, Liverpool are considering invoking the €70 million buy-out clause in support midfielder Alan Varela's contract with Porto.

The 22-year-old Argentine midfielder only moved to Europe last summer, moving from Boca Juniors to the Dragons for eight million euros and has already managed two goals and two assists in 30 games for Porto.

Varela is reported to have attracted particular attention after the Dragons' victory over Arsenal in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.
