Both clubs have been keeping tabs on Burkardt throughout the current campaign, and they may eventually make an offer for the player when the transfer window opens.

Both Liverpool and Tottenham can certainly afford the 24-year-old. The Reds are on the lookout for a new number nine, as their boss Arne Slot is dissatisfied with the contributions of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. With Nunez potentially on the way out, Burkardt could be the ideal replacement.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are keen to compete for a new "number nine" who can challenge Dominic Solanke for a spot in the starting lineup. The Mainz forward could certainly be the striker they are seeking.
