The regular season of MLS has concluded, and all teams and matchups for the playoffs have been determined. Additionally, ahead of the knockout matches, the league announced the Player of the Month.
Details: MLS announced on its platforms that the October Player of the Month is Lionel Messi, the star player of Inter Miami. This month, the Argentine footballer played three matches in the league, scoring two goals against Columbus Crew and netting a hat-trick against New England Revolution. In total, he registered five goals and one assist.
Reminder: Lionel Messi helped Inter Miami win the MLS Cup and qualify for the Club World Cup in 2025. The Argentine finished second in the MLS top scorers list, with 20 goals and 17 assists.
Inter Miami finished the 2024 MLS season in first place, amassing 74 points from 22 wins and eight draws across 34 matches. David Beckham's team was the league's highest-scoring side, netting 79 goals while conceding 49.
