Ligue 1 club sack Arsenal legend as head coach

Exactly one month before the start of the new Ligue 1 season, Strasbourg is left without a head coach.

Today, the club officially announced that Premier League and France national team legend Patrick Vieira has been dismissed. The name of his successor will be announced later.

The club's management made this decision after a detailed analysis of the previous season, during which Strasbourg finished only 13th, just 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

It's worth noting that Strasbourg is owned by BlueCo, which also owns Chelsea.

Before his tenure at Strasbourg, Vieira managed Crystal Palace, Nice, New York City, and Manchester City's youth team.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Vieira is among the candidates for the vacant head coach position of the United States national team.
