Liga MX 2025. Team of the week: "guns" of Erick Gutiérrez and Nelson Deossa
On April 15-16, the matches of the 16th round of the Clausura of Liga MX (Mexican Championship) 2025 took place.
On the first matchday, Pachuca and Tigres played to a goalless draw, Chivas narrowly defeated Puebla, Juárez and Necaxa ended in a stalemate, and Cruz Azul snatched a victory against León in the dying minutes.
On the second matchday, Monterrey narrowly defeated América, Atlas won against Querétaro thanks to a penalty in stoppage time. After their victory over San Luis, Toluca secured the top spot with one round to go in the Clausura. Tijuana was stronger away against Mazatlán, while Pumas won at home against Santos Laguna.

- Goalkeeper: Nahuel Guzmán (Tigres)
The 39-year-old Argentine goalkeeper made 7 saves in the match against Pachuca, 2 of which were from shots within the penalty area. Nahuel made 2 clearances, blocked one shot with his hands, and provided 9 accurate long passes. This is Guzmán's fifth clean sheet in the current Clausura.
- Left-back: Jesús Vega (Tijuana)

Under his leadership, the team not only secured a direct spot in the Liguilla but also continues to fight in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions League, having lost only one match out of 19.
