Lifetime contract. Atletico legend remains at the club

Atlético Madrid has officially announced the extension of the contract with experienced central midfielder Koke.

Koke's new contract with the club is valid until June of next year. His previous deal was set to expire at the end of the current season.

It is noted that this contract essentially is lifelong. Each year it can be automatically extended if the player meets certain conditions.

The 32-year-old Koke has spent his entire career at his hometown club. In total, he has played 625 matches for Atlético, scoring 47 goals and providing 116 assists. In the current season, he has appeared in 39 matches and has contributed with 5 goals.

Koke is the record holder for the most matches played for Atlético Madrid.
