Liam Delap is the person of the day at the English Premier League according to Dailysports
Ipswich Town put up a strong fight against Aston Villa in today's sixth round of the English Premier League, managing to secure a 2-2 draw at home. The match featured young forward Liam Delap, who scored both goals for the Tractor Boys.
The 21-year-old striker was recognized as the central figure of the day in the Premier League by Dailysports. Delap not only netted a brace but also set an interesting club record. He became the first Ipswich Town player to score two goals in a Premier League match since Marcus Bent in March 2002.
Delap has started in all six of Ipswich's Premier League matches this season. While the team has yet to secure a victory, four draws in these matches have placed them in 15th position in the league table.
Interestingly, Delap is a product of Derby County's youth academy but moved to Manchester City’s academy at just 16 years old. He made only a few appearances for the Citizens, mainly going on loan spells. In the summer of 2024, Liam joined Ipswich, where he is currently demonstrating solid scoring form.
