What did Broos say?
After that friendly match, the Belgian stated that they had to face stronger and more difficult teams in order to prepare better for the tournament, in which the best teams on the African continent are facing each other.
Therefore, these statements angered and displeased the Foreign Minister of Lesotho and considered it an insult to his country.
What Lesotho said in response to the Belgian?
Mokhosi Mohapi, General Secretary of the Lesotho Football Association, explained why they were angry because of the words of the Bafana Bafana coach, Mokhosi explained that Hugo's words were disrespectful because the coach raised questions such as " Why is there a match for us against Lesotho in FIFA competitions and means that the Lesotho national team is not a technically distinguished team.
Hugo Broos has been harsh in terms of what he said about us as a nation and as an association, So SAFA have never said anything despite having to tell them on numerous occasions that this guy is always fighting us at any given opportunity.
Mohapi said to FARpost.
All they said is that he’s a loud-mouth, so we want to see if the loud-mouth knows the regulations. I mean he’s been saying that he doesn’t know why there’s an organisation called Lesotho Football Association and why the team exists in FIFA competitions, he’s been saying that.
Mokhosi explained his opinion about the way SAFA dealt with the Belgian coach.
