Antonela Roccuzzo, the wife of Lionel Messi and a newly appointed ambassador for Adidas, shared in an interview with GRAZIA magazine that she had to give up her own dreams for Leo. Antonela disclosed that she left her studies behind to move from Argentina to Barcelona to be with him.
Antonela had aspired to become a dentist and was pursuing this goal at a university in Argentina. However, the distance between her and Messi forced her to make a choice, and she decided in favor of her partner.
It seems her decision paid off. Antonela and Leo have been together for nearly 20 years. They met as children, and their relationship began during their teenage years, blossoming into an inseparable bond.
The couple has three sons, the eldest of whom, Thiago, is already following in his father’s footsteps by playing in Inter Miami's youth team. Recently, he represented the club in a youth tournament in Rosario, the hometown of both Leo and Antonela, where he played against Newell's Old Boys, the team Messi supported as a child.
