Leipzig and Manchester City ended the group stage with victories. Group G results

On Wednesday, December 13, the final matches took place in Group G. RB Leipzig hosted Young Boys, while Manchester City traveled away to Red Star Belgrade.

Red Star Belgrade - Manchester City - 1:3

Pep Guardiola fielded a reserve lineup for this match. Manchester City opened the scoring on the 19th minute, courtesy of a goal from the 20-year-old prodigy, Mike Hamilton. After the break, Oscar Bobb, also 20 years old, doubled the lead with an assist from Rico Lewis.

The hosts responded with a solitary goal. Hwang In-Beom found the net in the 76th minute, but the Serbs couldn't equalize. In the 85th minute, Kelvin Phillips converted a penalty. In stoppage time, Red Star managed to score again, but it was not enough. Manchester City won 3-2 and have maximum 18 points in Group G.

RB Leipzig - Young Boys - 2:1

The German team took the lead in the sixth minute, but after a VAR review, the referee disallowed it for offside. The main events unfolded after the break. Within five minutes, the teams exchanged goals. In the 51st minute, Sheshko opened the scoring, Young Boys leveled in the 53rd, and three minutes later, Emil Forsberg restored Leipzig's lead.

Leipzig maintained a slender advantage of 2:1, accumulating 12 points in Group G and securing the second position.
