Leicester has identified a replacement for the coach who left for Chelsea
Enzo Maresca is already the former head coach of Leicester, as today it was officially announced that the specialist is moving to a similar position at Chelsea. "Foxes" are now puzzled to find a successor to the Italian.
And the first candidates are already beginning to appear. The Telegraph connects with the transition to Leicester head coach of West Bromwich Carlos Corberan. The 41-year-old, who has Olympiacos and Huddersfield Town on his CV in addition to his work at the Thrashers, is believed to be the favourite for the position at the King Power Stadium.
Compensation for Corberan is thought to be in the region of £3.5-4 million. Leicester, on the back of the pay-off for Maresca, could shell out this amount to take the Spanish specialist to their door.
The Spaniard led Huddersfield to the brink of a return to the Premier League in the 2021/22 campaign, but after a superb season under his stewardship, the Terriers lost in the play-off final to Nottingham Forrest.
