Legendary Ronaldinho set to become a grandfather as son’s girlfriend announces pregnancy

João Mendes, the 19-year-old son of football legend Ronaldinho, and his girlfriend Giovanna Buscacio, 25, are expecting their first child. Giovanna shared the exciting news on her Instagram, though Ronaldinho has yet to publicly comment on the announcement.

Following in his father’s footsteps, João is pursuing a football career of his own. Whether he can replicate the success of his iconic father remains to be seen.

The young couple currently resides in Manchester, having moved there after João transferred from Barcelona to Burnley. He now plays for the English club’s youth team.

Meanwhile, 44-year-old Ronaldinho continues to showcase his love for football. Recently, he participated in the El Clásico Legends match in Qatar, where he impressed the crowd of 31,000 with his still-magical skills. Ronaldinho scored a stunning free-kick against the Real Madrid legends, reminding fans of his brilliance from two decades ago.

Ronaldinho is a 2002 FIFA World Cup champion, a 2006 UEFA Champions League winner, and the 2005 Ballon d’Or recipient.
