An incredibly tragic piece of news.

Details: Today it was reported that legendary 55-year-old former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle died alongside his family in a plane crash.

The aircraft, a Cessna Citation 2 carrying Biffle, his wife, and children, crashed in North Carolina after suffering engine trouble shortly after takeoff. According to media reports, five out of the six people on board have died. Among the victims were Biffle, his wife, and their children.

Greg Biffle competed in 244 races, securing 20 victories, and in 2002 he won the NASCAR Busch Series championship.

In 2017, Biffle announced that he would be working as an analyst on "NASCAR America" for NBC Sports.
