In recent years, the Indonesia national team has seen an influx of naturalized players born in the Netherlands. Now, a true legend of the "Oranje" and European football is set to take charge of the team.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, Patrick Kluivert will be the new head coach of Indonesia's national team.
His presentation in the new role is scheduled for January 12, and he will sign a two-year contract.
Kluivert’s primary objective is to qualify Indonesia for the 2026 World Cup. The team has had a strong start in the final round of AFC qualification, currently sitting third in their group, just one point behind Australia.
Previously, Kluivert managed the Curaçao national team and Turkish club Adana Demirspor.
