Legendary moment! Cristiano Ronaldo and Oleksandr Usyk meet at Al Nassr training base
Sporting icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Oleksandr Usyk shared a warm handshake and embrace during their meeting at Al Nassr’s training facility. The Portuguese star posted photos of the encounter on his Instagram, capturing the special moment.
Ronaldo holds great respect for the Ukrainian boxer, which he reflected in the caption accompanying his post: "Great seeing you again, champ!"
The Al Nassr forward has been following Usyk’s boxing career closely, having attended all three of his recent fights in Saudi Arabia. Now, it was Usyk’s turn to visit Ronaldo on his home turf.
Usyk has also shown his support for Ronaldo, previously posting an Instagram story declaring that he and his team are backing Al Nassr.
However, the match Usyk attended turned out to be a disappointing one for Ronaldo’s team. Al Nassr suffered a 3-2 defeat to Al-Ettifaq, frustrating the Portuguese star. Adding to the woes, Jhon Durán was sent off with a red card.
