Newcastle and England’s legendary striker Alan Shearer stunned his followers by posting photos of the aftermath of an unpleasant road incident.
Details: The 55-year-old former footballer, who has become an avid cyclist in recent years, was involved in an accident during one of his regular rides. The crash was caused by a deep pothole in the road, which Shearer hit at speed and was unable to keep his balance.
In the photos shared on social media by the 55-year-old BBC pundit, numerous grazes and cuts can be seen on his arms and legs. The impact was severe, leaving visible marks from the contact with the tarmac. Shearer himself commented on the incident briefly, keeping his trademark sense of humor:
“Ouch. Potholes and bikes – a painful combination,” Shearer wrote.
