Midfielder Philippe Coutinho will gain free agent status in the coming days. The Brazilian has agreed to terminate his contract with Aston Villa, reports insider Fabrizio Romano.

Coutinho's contract with Aston Villa was set to expire in June 2026. It is noted that Brazilian club Vasco da Gama is already working on bringing the player back.

Coutinho began his career at the Vasco academy before moving to Europe in 2008, signing with Inter Milan for a fee of around €4 million.

Last season, the player spent on loan at Al-Duhail. For the Qatari team, the Brazilian scored 7 goals and provided 3 assists.

The portal Transfermarkt values the 32-year-old player at €7.5 million.
