Lionel Messi is on the verge of signing a new contract with Inter Miami. Negotiations between the Argentine forward and the club's management are in their final stages.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the new agreement will run until the end of 2026 and is expected to be signed in the near future. Inter's plan is to make Messi a key part of the squad that will inaugurate the club's new stadium in 2026.
The current contract of the 37-year-old forward is valid until the end of 2025. At the moment, the superstar is representing the Florida club in the FIFA Club World Cup. In the match against Porto, it was Messi's brilliant free-kick goal that secured victory for his team.
