Kaiserslautern, currently competing in the 2. German Bundesliga, is in search of a new head coach. Dirk Schuster was recently relieved of his duties, as the team struggled under his leadership.

According to reports from Sky Sport, one of the primary candidates for the Kaiserslautern coaching position is the legendary Miroslav Klose.

The 45-year-old German coach last worked at Austria's Altach, leaving the position in March of this year.

Interestingly, Klose previously played for Kaiserslautern from 1999 to 2004. During his time at the club, he played 147 matches, scoring 52 goals and providing 28 assists.

Kaiserslautern currently sits in 11th place in the second-tier German league after playing 14 matches.
