The trial surrounding the death of Diego Armando Maradona took a shocking turn after Verónica Ojeda, former partner of the late football legend and mother of one of his children, submitted a series of controversial messages to the court. According to SD, the chat suggests an inappropriate relationship between psychiatrist Agustina Cosachov and her patient, Maradona, during the final days of his life.

The leaked exchange, reportedly between Cosachov and psychologist Carlos Díaz—both defendants in the case—contains a provocative accusation. “You slept with the fat man, shameless!!!!” Díaz wrote. Cosachov replied with apparent sarcasm: “Well, haha, therapy is therapy. Everyone has their own technique, haha.”

The contents of the chat, already presented in court, have reignited public scrutiny over the conduct of the medical team responsible for Maradona’s care during his home confinement. Many now question whether ethical boundaries were crossed by those entrusted with his health and well-being.

Agustina Cosachov, through her lawyer Vadim Mischanchuk, denied the allegations. The attorney stated that “the chat was an ironic exchange between health professionals” and dismissed the claim that there was any personal relationship beyond the clinical one.
