Las Vegas Lights Part Ways With Coach Nocerino Amid Slump

Las Vegas Lights FC announced the departure of Head Coach Antonio Nocerino on Tuesday, just months after his appointment ahead of the 2025 season. According to USLChampionship.com, Nocerino guided the team to a 3-6-3 record in USL Championship play but struggled to generate consistent offense, scoring only seven goals in 12 league matches. The team's loss to San Antonio FC over the weekend extended its winless run to five games across all competitions, marking the lowest point of the campaign.

“We are grateful for Antonio’s contributions to this club,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “We agreed that now is the right time for him to step away as we remain within reach of the playoff positions.”

Assistant Coach Giovanni Troise will oversee training ahead of Saturday’s home match against Monterey Bay FC as the search for a new head coach begins. The move comes amid growing pressure to turn around the team’s form before the season concludes.
