Larsen praised his defense for containing SuperSport’s strikers, Tashreeq Morris and Bradley Grobler. “I cannot fault the players for the effort. You don’t always get what you deserve in football. Today was a typical example of that,” he said.
Grobler’s 80th-minute strike secured SuperSport’s second consecutive league win, while Magesi, fresh off their Carling Black Label Cup triumph over Sundowns, failed to capitalize on their momentum.
SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt expressed relief at his team’s improving form, calling it “a good performance.”
Magesi dropped to the bottom of the table, swapping places with Richards Bay, who defeated Golden Arrows 1-0. With the relegation battle heating up, Larsen will aim for a quick recovery.
