Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Florian Plettenberg, posting on his social media page, Barcelona president Joan Laporta has instructed the club to extend the contract of the 37-year-old Polish striker Robert Lewandowski.

It is reported that Lewandowski, in turn, is ready to accept a significant pay cut and a restructured deal to stay in Catalonia for at least one more season.
Besides Barcelona, Lewandowski also has options in MLS and Saudi Arabia, but the striker has made it clear he wants to compete at the top level for at least one more season.
This season, Lewandowski has played 40 matches for Barcelona, scoring 17 goals and providing 3 assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at 8 million euros, while his current contract with Barcelona expires this summer.
