Laporta revealed when Barcelona will be free to register players
In the summer transfer window, Barcelona's activity in the market was quite scarce, but also those players who were brought into the team (primarily Dani Olmo) were difficult to register. But Blaugrana boss Joan Laporta assures that the difficulties are about to be resolved.
The president of the Catalan club has expressed confidence that the club will overcome all financial problems already in the next transfer window, which consists of fulfilling the 1:1 rule. Consequently, Barcelona will not face difficulties in registering players in January:
‘Yes, we will be able to sign players normally in January because we plan to reach the 1:1 rule in La Liga before then.
When you say ‘sign’, we can sign players, the problem is registering in the league. It will be easier when we reach the 1:1 rule,’ Goal quoted Laporta as saying.
Recall that Barcelona were only able to register Olmo for the competition 18 days after the purchase of the midfielder from RB Leipzig was officially announced.
