Laporta refutes Tebas' claims about Barcelona's inability to register new players

Barcelona are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, but might face financial hurdles. Nevertheless, Joan Laporta maintains that the situation is far from dramatic.
Details: Speaking at a session of Barcelona's Senate, Laporta stated that the club can make transfers and is currently operating under the 1:1 rule. He also emphasized that the team will soon announce new signings.
Quote: "We are able to sign players in the usual way and are operating under the 1:1 rule. We are about to sign a player and are working on another. At the moment, we have a flexible relationship with La Liga and I believe we will soon be able to announce new additions," Laporta said.
Earlier, the La Liga president claimed that Barcelona can make transfers, but currently cannot register new arrivals. According to him, the club does not yet meet the requirements for free signings and cannot operate under the 1:1 rule at this time.
Reminder: Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia officially became a Barcelona player after prolonged negotiations between the clubs.
