Lampard is once again eager to reunite with Mount in his team.
Details: According to journalist Simon Phillips, Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard has informed the club's management that he needs to reinforce the squad ahead of the new season, which will see the team compete in the Premier League for the first time in years.
One of Lampard's most coveted targets is 27-year-old Manchester United attacking midfielder Mason Mount.
Lampard has already worked with Mount before—first at Derby County and later at Chelsea—which could play into Coventry’s hands.
Manchester United values Mount at a minimum of £30 million, a steep price for modest Coventry, so a loan deal is also being considered as an alternative.
This season, Mount made only 22 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist. His contract with Manchester runs until 2028, and his transfer value is currently estimated at €30 million by Transfermarkt.
