Mykhailo Mudryk could soon get the chance to reignite his Premier League career.

Details: According to Football Insider, newly promoted Premier League side Coventry City are eyeing a loan move for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk for the upcoming season. Sky Blues manager Frank Lampard is prepared to utilize his Stamford Bridge connections, with the Blues eager for the Ukrainian to gain consistent Premier League minutes. Chelsea intend to reassess the 25-year-old after a season-long loan spell.

Mudryk only returned to the pitch last week after nearly two years out: his doping case (meldonium) was resolved with the FA, with his suspension considered already served. During Chelsea’s preseason tour in Asia, the Ukrainian featured in a friendly against Juventus, but for now, he is not part of Xabi Alonso’s plans. Aside from Coventry, Strasbourg and two other Premier League clubs have shown interest, but Mudryk—who previously worked with Lampard—remains open to a move and prefers to stay in England.

Chelsea paid up to €100 million including bonuses for Mudryk in January 2023, still the most expensive transfer involving a Ukrainian footballer in history.
