Yamal emphasized that Julián is a top-class player and that it would be an honor to play alongside him.
“If he comes, we'll welcome him with open arms. He’s a fantastic footballer, and I hope we’ll play together. If he wants to come, we’ll be waiting for him. Come on, go for it!” Yamal commented on the potential transfer.
The young talent also added that moving to Barcelona would be the best decision for Álvarez’s career. In Yamal’s view, the Catalan club remains the best place in the world for any professional thanks to its history, incredible fan support, and the status of the city itself.
It’s worth noting that at the moment, Julián is representing Argentina at the 2026 World Cup, although he has yet to contribute with a goal or assist.
Reminder: Barcelona’s star extended his contract with the club until 2028.
