Barcelona star Lamine Yamal has revisited a legendary moment from his past. The footballer shared on his Instagram Stories a joint photo with Leo Messi from the now-iconic photoshoot.
Yamal posted an image featuring a young Messi holding him as a baby. With this post, Lamine reminded fans of that prophetic photoshoot, taken many years ago.
For context, that session was organized for a special charity calendar. The event took place in 2007—Yamal's family had won a raffle held under the auspices of UNICEF. The prize for winning was the chance to be photographed with a Barcelona player.
At the time, no one could have guessed that these photos would become iconic, or that Yamal would one day emerge as Messi's heir at Barcelona. In the upcoming season, Lamine will even inherit the legendary number ten shirt worn by the Argentine, drawing even stronger parallels between the two players.
