France Football announced the 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or on Wednesday, September 4th.

Among the nominees is Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal, who has already made history with this award. At just 17 years and 53 days old, he has become the youngest nominee ever for the Ballon d'Or. Additionally, Yamal has been named a contender for the Kopa Trophy 2024, an annual football accolade awarded to the best young player under the age of 21 since 2018.

The Ballon d'Or 2024 ceremony will take place on Monday, October 28th, in Paris.

It is noteworthy that Lamine Yamal became the youngest goal scorer in the history of the Euros. At the age of 16 years, 11 months, and 27 days, he scored against France in the tournament's semi-final.

Furthermore, at 17 years and one day, Yamal became the youngest player ever to participate in a World Cup or European Championship final. Remarkably, the previous record was held by the legendary Pelé.
