It had been rumoured for several days, but now it's official. Lamine Ndiaye is officially leaving his position as coach of TP Mazembe in DR Congo.

Having been at the helm of the Lushois club since 2023, the Senegalese tactician led his last match on Thursday 29 January in the league, which ended in a 1-2 victory against Sanga Balende. The departure of the 69-year-old coach was announced by the Lubumbashi club.

"The management of TP Mazembe announces the end of its collaboration with coach Lamine NDIAYE, who led his last match in the victory against Sanga Balende (1-2).

The coach informed the players of his departure after the match. The same applies to Alexandre.

The management would like to thank Lamine NDIAYE and Alexandre JURAIN for their commitment and contribution to the club and wishes them every success in their future endeavours," wrote TP Mazembe.
