La Liga's top scorer has decided to stay at his club
Girona star and top scorer Artem Dovbyk has decided to continue his career at his current club.
According to AS, the Ukrainian striker has instructed his agents to reject all transfer offers this summer. Dovbyk is content at Girona and is eager to debut with the team in the UEFA Champions League.
Previously, Atletico Madrid and Milan had shown interest in Dovbyk. The release clause in the footballer's contract is 40 million euros, and these clubs were prepared to meet that price.
Last season was Dovbyk's debut in the top leagues, and he impressively became La Liga's top scorer with 24 goals and 6 assists in 36 matches.
This summer, Girona has already secured the signing of striker Abel Ruiz from Braga, a move many linked to the potential departure of Dovbyk.
