Kylian Mbappé writes heartfelt tribute to young fan who tragically passed away
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has paid tribute to young fan Lorenzo, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. The French forward shared an emotional message on his Instagram in memory of the boy.
Previously, Mbappé had fulfilled Lorenzo’s dream by meeting him at the Santiago Bernabéu. The young fan adored the footballer and wished to meet him in person. When Mbappé learned about this, he immediately invited Lorenzo to Madrid, where the boy watched a Real Madrid match at the stadium, met his idol, interacted with other players, and received a signed jersey.
Sadly, Lorenzo has now passed away, and Mbappé could not remain silent, choosing to honor his memory.
"After a long fight that you fought with courage, you sadly passed away last night. All my most sincere thoughts for your parents, who accompanied you with great dignity in this ordeal. I had the honour of being able to spend a little time by your side and realise what a brilliant boy you were and an inspiration for all. You will never be forgotten and will always be loved. May God bless you. Rest in peace my little one, Lorenzo. Your Friend Kylian," wrote Mbappé.
