Barbora Krejcikova won Wimbledon 2024, defeating Italy's Jasmine Paolini in three sets in the final.

In the first set, the Czech player looked much stronger, forcing her opponent to capitulate in eight games. However, the second set was a mirror image: Paolini seized the initiative as Krejcikova made too many unforced errors. The decisive moment came in the third set, with Krejcikova breaking serve at 3-3. She didn't allow Paolini back into the match and clinched victory.

Wimbledon WTA Final
Barbora Krejcikova (Czech Republic, 32) - Jasmine Paolini (Italy, 7) - 6:2, 2:6, 6:4.

It's interesting that for the second consecutive year, a representative from the Czech Republic has won Wimbledon. Last year in London, it was Marketa Vondrousova who emerged victorious. This victory marks Krejcikova's second Grand Slam title in her career, following her win at Roland Garros in 2021. Additionally, Krejcikova, a former world No. 1 in doubles, has seven Major titles to her name in doubles.
