The Cameroonian manager has decided to step down following the team’s poor results in Elite One.
Appointed at the start of the season in Cameroon, Koung Anicet will no longer be at the helm of Aigle Menoua’s coaching staff. According to sources in Cameroon, he was not sacked, but decided to step down by mutual agreement with the club’s management. The reason cited is the team’s poor results in the 2025–26 Cameroonian professional league.
Aigle Menoua have recorded six defeats, three draws and two wins from 11 matches played in the 2025-2026 Elite One season. As a direct consequence of these poor performances, the club sit second from bottom in the table with nine points after 11 matchdays.
