Kompany approves high-profile transfer. Bayern to pay £80 million for Premier League star
FC Bayern Munich is gearing up for the summer transfer window and has already set its sights on one of its top priorities. Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon could become a marquee signing for the Bundesliga giants, with head coach Vincent Kompany reportedly giving his blessing to the move.
According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, the 25-year-old Englishman’s switch to Bayern is looking increasingly likely. The club has been in regular contact with the player’s representatives, and official negotiations between the parties could commence in the near future.
It is noted that Newcastle values its player at around £80 million, which would make this deal one of the biggest of the summer transfer window.
This season, Anthony Gordon has played 46 matches across all competitions, racking up 17 goals and five assists, making him one of the most productive players for the Magpies.
