Klopp's departure will not affect Liverpool's desire to sign the Bayern midfielder

Changes on the coaching bench, planned or not, can affect the club's transfer policy, as a player the former mentor invited may not be liked by his successor. But Liverpool don't seem to be worried about that.

As before, club bosses want to invite Bayern midfielder Jozua Kimmich to Anfield and, as journalist Christian Falk has emphasised, this will not be affected by Jurgen Klopp's impending departure:

"As we know, Klopp is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, but that doesn't change the plans that the club want to at least try to bring Kimmich to Anfield. So they will continue in the same way and nothing has changed just because Klopp is leaving, Liverpool are very much following Kimmich's career."

It was previously reported that the midfielder wants to leave Bayern amid a conflict with Thomas Tuchel and his staff, but how things will unfold after Munich also change coach in the summer is still unknown.
