Klaassen to return to former club after leaving Inter
Dutch midfielder Davy Klaassen failed to establish himself in Inter's squad and the newly crowned Italian champions were left without a club. But, as it turns out, not for long.
Details: According to transferwatch, the 31-year-old midfielder has been offered a contract until the end of the season by his former club Ajax. Klaassen himself is not against returning to the Johan Cruyff Arena, and now the parties need to agree on their future co-operation.
Recall: The midfielder has maintained his form individually since leaving Inter, but it was believed that he already had preliminary talks about a return to the Amsterdam club he represented from 2012-2017 and 2020-2023.
He played 321 games for Ajax - almost three times more than for other clubs (Veder, Inter, Everton) combined, so the Amsterdam club is far from a stranger to him.
