Kind Santa: boxing star Anthony Joshua delivers gifts to children in hospital
British boxer Anthony Joshua brought Christmas cheer to children in the Kids Starsh ward at Watford Hospital, reports Daily Star.
The athlete spent time with children and medical staff, handing out Christmas presents to young patients. The event was part of the Clean Hearts Community program, which Joshua founded to improve the lives of local residents.
Joshua was joined by Santa Claus, who helped spread holiday joy and create a festive atmosphere.
"The joy that Anthony has spread today is truly healing. The smiles on the faces, especially from one ten year old who woke up to see Anthony was incredible," said pediatric consultant Lynn Synitsky.
Anthony Joshua was born in Watford General Hospital and grew up in the area. Because of this deep connection, he dedicates significant effort to supporting initiatives tied to the hospital. He also attended the unveiling of the Leigh Warman Mural in the children’s emergency ward following his Olympic victory in 2012.
