Kick-off date for the 2026–2027 Senegalese professional league season announced

The Senegalese Professional Football League has set 3 October 2026 as the official start date for the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 championships.

The race to succeed Teungueth FC is set to begin shortly in Senegal’s Ligue 1. In a statement, the Senegalese Professional Football League confirmed that the competitions will resume on Saturday 3 October 2026, marking the start of a new season.

However, whilst the kick-off date is now known, supporters will have to wait a little longer before finding out the fixtures for the opening day. The League has stated that the full competition schedule, as well as the fixtures for the opening day, will be announced in the coming days.

With the date now set, the clubs competing in Senegal’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 will now have to prepare properly for the new season.
