Keylor Navas has stirred speculation about his future at Newell’s Old Boys after hinting at renewed interest from Europe. During a press conference while on international duty with Costa Rica, the veteran goalkeeper admitted there are “some things out there,” leaving fans and media wondering if a move could be on the horizon.

According to Fútbol Centroamérica, Spanish side Levante UD is among the clubs reportedly eyeing a reunion with the Costa Rican star. Navas made a name for himself at Levante before securing a high-profile move to Real Madrid, where he won three Champions League titles.

Currently playing in Spain’s second division, Levante is said to be preparing a €5 million offer to bring Navas back—despite the fact that he is under contract with Newell’s through December 2026, and no release clause exists.

Since joining Newell’s after six months without a club, the 38-year-old has become a key figure, revitalizing a struggling team and rekindling hope among fans. His performances have not gone unnoticed, and the market has started to take note once again.

"I have a contract with Newell’s, so we’re calm,” Navas said. “The future is always uncertain. If something concrete comes up, we’ll talk about it then.”

While he didn’t confirm any formal offers, he also didn’t shut the door. For now, his focus remains on Costa Rica’s national team. But the possibility of a European return, especially to a club where he once thrived, lingers in the background—and that could shift the balance in Rosario sooner than expected.
