Kevin Kamdem signs his first professional contract with Montpellier HSC
The Cameroonian goalkeeper will join the first team next summer.
Having arrived in Montpellier in March 2024 from the Academie Foot de Douala, Kevin Kamdem has proven his worth. The Cameroonian has progressed through all the club’s youth ranks before starting to train with the first team this season.
His performances have convinced Montpellier’s management, who have decided to turn him professional. Kevin Kamdem will officially join the first team next July. After signing his contract, the Cameroonian goalkeeper did not hide his enthusiasm.
This is a special moment that brings me great joy. I am very happy to have signed my first professional contract with Montpellier Hérault Sport Club. It is a source of great pride for me. Having joined the Douala Football Academy at the age of 12 and finding myself here today shows great progress, and I’m very pleased about it. I hope to prepare well for next season and show what I’m capable of to earn a place in the first team.
