Onemus Kiplagat Kiplimo of Kenya emerged as the triumphant winner of the 2025 Stockholm Marathon men's race, clocking a time of 2:11:34.

The 29-year-old's victory was remarkable not just for his speed, but for a dramatic twist near the finish line—just before entering the stadium, he took a wrong turn. However, Kiplimo quickly realized his mistake, doubled back onto the correct route, and managed to hold onto his lead all the way to the finish.

Notably, the second and third spots also went to Kenyans: Edwin Kosgei and Silas Sugut, respectively. Impressively, five Kenyans finished in the top seven overall.

For the record, this year's Stockholm Marathon set a new participation benchmark: 23,786 runners registered, with 19,441 making it to the start line. The classic marathon distance was covered—42,195 meters.
