Keita Baldé made his debut for Monza this weekend, playing in a 0-0 draw against Lecce. Although Monza earned a point, they remain at the bottom of Serie A with just 16 points, 7 points away from the first non-relegation spot.
After the match, Baldé expressed his desire to help the team escape their current situation. “I want to contribute to the team’s effort to get out of this situation. The club, my teammates, and the fans deserve it. We have a lot to do to ensure survival by eliminating our fears and anxieties. Nesta asked me to do my part and always move forward. He knows what I can bring to Monza,” said Baldé.
This marks Baldé’s return to Serie A after three years, following his previous stint at Cagliari. “Everything happened very quickly. I’m happy to be back in Serie A and at Monza. It takes courage to win: I’m motivated. It’s a great opportunity for me,” Baldé shared.
Monza’s manager, Alessandro Nesta, is counting on Baldé’s experience to help improve the team’s attacking play. Despite the club’s current struggles, Baldé remains focused on his mission to contribute positively, emphasizing the importance of courage and enjoyment in playing, especially at home.
