Katsina United Clear Five-Month Salary Backlog
Katsina United FC have settled five months of unpaid salaries owed to recruited players after uncertainty. Club officials said the payments followed the completion of biometric data capture required to integrate players and officials into the Katsina State Government payroll.
Speaking with journalists, the club’s Chairperson and supervising coordinator, Surajo Malumfashi, confirmed that the affected players had gone unpaid for several months after joining the club. He said the arrears were cleared after the state government approved funds.
Malumfashi added players, technical crew and backroom staff have now been formally captured and should receive monthly wages. He disclosed over 100 Team B and Under-19 players were enrolled on a minimum wage of N50,000, describing the move as a stabilising step.
