Even though Filipe was acquitted in court, karma still seemed to catch up with him.

Details: According to The Sun, former Benfica president Luís Filipe was found not guilty in court over the “Blue Bag” case, in which current Benfica president Rui Costa was also implicated. However, Filipe's moment of triumph quickly turned into pain.

Just minutes after the not-guilty verdict was announced, Luís Filipe headed for the exit. As he opened the building's front door, he stumbled and tumbled down a concrete staircase.

Journalists nearby rushed to assist Filipe, but the pain was so intense that an ambulance had to be called.

Medical staff on the scene diagnosed Filipe with a broken arm, sustained after landing on a metal railing during the fall.
