The Kansas City Chiefs played an NFL regular-season game against the Los Angeles Chargers and lost 13–16. However, that was not the only piece of bad news, as something far more serious occurred.
Details: The Chiefs’ leader and quarterback suffered a serious injury. He tore his anterior cruciate ligament and has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Only three games remain in the regular season for the Kansas City Chiefs. The team currently have six wins and eight losses after 14 games, and their playoff chances are already gone.
Quote: “I don’t know why this had to happen. And I won’t lie, it hurts. But all we can do right now is trust in God and attack every day again and again. Thank you, Chiefs Kingdom, for always supporting me, and thanks to everyone who is reaching out and sending prayers. I will come back stronger than ever,” Mahomes wrote on his social media.
Reminder: Singer Taylor Swift, who recently got engaged to NFL star Travis Kelce, is already fully immersed in planning the wedding.
