Kane has spoken out on Bayern's championship chances

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has spoken about Bayern's chances of winning the Bundesliga title after their 8:1 victory over Mainz.

"Title race? I think realistically, of course, Leverkusen are favourites to win the league. I think everyone knows that but all we can do is what we have done against Mainz – just win our games. There are around 10 games left. We have to try and win all of them and then see what Leverkusen do.

They’ve had a fantastic season. Credit to them for that. This is always the business end [of the season], this is always the hardest part, so all we can do is try and win our games and hopefully they drop points", Kane said.

After his hat-trick against Mainz, Kane made Bundesliga history. The Englishman became the first player in league history to score 2+ goals in eight games in his first season in Germany's elite division.

Bayern are seven points behind Bayer, who has one game in hand. There are nine rounds left to play before the end of the season. The Leverkusen team will play its match of the 25th round today, March 10, against Wolfsburg.
