Kaizer Chiefs won't back down! Amakhosi's main transfer target revealed

After Mayele's move to Mamelodi Sundowns, the Kaizer Chiefs management shifted their focus to another striker.
Details: Amakhosi have intensified their search for a forward ahead of the new season and have once again turned their attention to what seemed like a forgotten option — Robert Polievka.
The Slovakian striker was already on Chiefs' radar back in 2020, but the transfer fell through due to a FIFA-imposed transfer ban. Now, however, circumstances have changed, and the 29-year-old Polievka could well find himself in the Kaizer Chiefs squad.
"This isn't the first time Chiefs have shown interest in Robert. In 2020, when Gavin Hunt was in charge, he was on the club's wishlist alongside Thabo Nodada, Kgaogelo Sekgota, Njabulo Ngcobo, and the late Luke Fleurs — just to name a few. But at that time, the club was under a FIFA transfer ban. Now they want to sign Polievka again because, as the club believes, their chances of landing their main target — Fiston Mayele — and other players are becoming increasingly slim," a source told Soccer Laduma.
Robert Polievka is a tall and powerful striker, capable of turning the tide of a match at any moment. That's exactly what has caught the Chiefs management's eye about the experienced MTK Budapest forward.
Last season, Polievka featured in 30 matches, netting 6 goals and providing 2 assists.
His transfer value is estimated at €450,000 — a figure significantly lower than what the club was prepared to spend on Mayele.
